Suspect arrested in fatal Spanaway shooting

SPANAWAY, Wash. — A suspect has been arrested after fatally shooting a man Monday night in Spanaway, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded to a call of a shooting in the 200 block of 165th Street South in Spanaway at 8:28 p.m.

According to a police spokesperson, someone heard several shots, saw a man on the ground and called the police.

Deputies attempted CPR, but the man died on the scene.

At 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, the sheriff’s office tweeted that a suspect was arrested and booked into jail for investigation of first-degree murder.
