Woman arrested on 96 charges of theft in Everett

A 23-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday on 96 charges of theft and financial fraud after multiple thefts at local fitness centers around the Pacific Northwest, according to Everett police.

During an investigation, the Everett and Mill Creek Police Departments identified a 23-year-old Everett woman as a suspect in numerous thefts of bank cards and other personal property from fitness center locker rooms.

On Wednesday, officers witnessed the woman leaving a Lynnwood gym and after following her to a nearby business where she purchased gift cards with a bank card she had just stolen, arrested her without incident.

The woman’s boyfriend was also arrested on unrelated warrants while waiting in a nearby car.

During an interview, the woman admitted to breaking into gym lockers around King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston and Skagit counties.

She also admitted to using stolen bank cards and stolen keys to break into vehicles and in some cases steal the vehicles too.

The woman was booked in the Snohomish County jail.
