BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A small plane flipped over at the Bellingham International Airport Monday morning.
According to the airport, shortly after 11 a.m., the single-engine Cessna was on the ground on runway 34 at the south end of the airfield, preparing to take off.
As the pilot turned the plane to depart, a wind gust caught it and flipped it over onto its roof.
The two male occupants, the pilot and a passenger, were up and walking around after the incident. They were examined by paramedics and had no injuries.
A crew is working to remove the aircraft.
