Edmonds police wrapped up a search Thursday for a suspect after five new burglaries or attempted burglaries were reported the night before.
Police are calling the suspect the "Chase Lake Burglar," and they say the suspect is targeting homes in the area south of Edmonds-Woodway High School.
Last month, a serial burglar targeted up to 13 homes.
Investigators believe the same person broke into five more homes Wednesday night.
Police said it's the same M.O. every time: The suspect breaks in through a back window and goes after jewelry. The suspect also breaks into homes between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
After a search Thursday afternoon, police did not find the suspect.
Edmonds police are asking homeowners in the area to check their surveillance cameras, hoping to get a picture of the suspect.
