GOLD BAR, Wash. — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on US 2 early Wednesday.
The man was killed in the Sultan/Gold Bar area at 387th Ave. SE.
The crash was called in to police at 1:42 a.m.
The Washington State Patrol said the driver of a Mazda RX 8 was taken into custody for investigation of vehicular homicide.
The victim has not been identified pending notification of next of kin.
The westbound lanes were closed while troopers investigated but have since reopened.
