Police arrest suspect after man shot at Everett motel

EVERETT, Wash. — A man was shot multiple times Wednesday at an Everett motel.

It happened at the Farwest Motel, 6030 Evergreen Way, on Wednesday shortly before 11 a.m.

The victim was taken to Providence Hospital in serious condition.

The suspect was arrested after being located on the Madison Elementary School ball fields, police said.

Investigators worked Wednesday afternoon to identify the shooter. Initial reports were that the suspect is a white man with blond hair who's wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

Video from Chopper 7 showed a K-9 unit and at least six officers searching for the suspect outside the motel. Helicopter video showed a red piece of clothing discarded in the area where officers are searching.
