Deputies: Man wanted for child sexual assault arrested in Shoreline

SHORELINE, Wash. — Deputies arrested a 49-year-old man who they say was wanted for seven counts of first-degree child sexual assault and promoting child abuse.

The man was arrested Friday morning in Shoreline.

Investigators said the man is a convicted sex offender who has been in the state and failed to register.

Deputies said the man had previous ties to Snohomish County but his warrants were out of Maui, Hawaii.

Police in Maui requested help from the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task force in finding him.

Deputies located him on a construction site in Shoreline and he was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail, where he awaits extradition to Hawaii.
