SNOHOMISH, Wash. — Both directions of US 2 are blocked after a serious crash just east of Highway 9 in Snohomish.

It happened shortly after 11 a.m. Monday.
The Washington State Patrol says the driver who caused the crash is in custody for possibly DUI.
One person in the victim vehicle was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Eastbound travelers are being diverted onto Highway 9. Westbound travelers are being diverted onto 88th Street Southeast.
As of 11:55 a.m. Monday, there was no an ETA for when the highway will reopen.
The Washington State Patrol will conduct an investigation.
Drivers should avoid the area and find alternate routes.
