Man in custody after making threat over Facebook

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — A 19-year-old man is in custody after he made a threat over Facebook, said the Sedro-Woolley Police Department.

Police told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that the man, a former student at Sedro-Woolley High School, was chatting with a high school student over Facebook on Friday night.

According to police, the man made a threat in regards to the Connecticut school shooting.

Police said the man stated that if the shooting causes gun laws to change to the point where he couldn’t use a gun, he plans to shoot up all the schools in a 100-mile radius.

On Sunday afternoon, the man turned himself into police.

Police plan to book him on harassment charges.

The Skagit County Prosecutor’s Office and the FBI are reviewing the case.
