Woman’s dog returned after reports of armed carjacking in downtown Seattle

SEATTLE — A woman who says her dog was taken after reports of an armed carjacking in downtown Seattle has her dog back.

Police blocked off streets Saturday afternoon to investigate the incident.

Kelsey Kennedy told KIRO 7 her friend drove her car downtown to meet her and to buy shoes from Nike; however, she said two men with guns opened the door, pulled her friend out and took off with the car and her dog, Bella, inside.

Kennedy believes her friend was targeted.

“They knew he was here with money to buy shoes. Then they saw him walk back to his car and they knew he had money on him,” Kennedy said.

Police did not say if the car or the robbers were found.

The investigation is ongoing.
