SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol says slick roads and speed appear to have contributed to a fatal crash in Skagit County early Thursday.

Troopers said that around 1:30 a.m., a Chevrolet Cobalt was heading north in the 4400 block of SR 11 just north of Bow when the car went off the road, hit a mailbox and rolled over several times. No other vehicles were involved.

The driver, a woman in her mid-20s, was not wearing a seatbelt. She was partially thrown from the car and died at the scene.
