Bonneville said at about 6:10 a.m., it anticipated being able to begin restoration with 15 to 30 minutes. Power was restored around 7 a.m.

Normally, there are two transformers that run in parallel, but the second was undergoing maintenance when the outage occurred, according to the power company.

Schools in the Adna, Boistfort,  Winlock, Toldeo, Centralia, Chehalis and Napavine districts were closed because of the outage and Evaline School District schools are running an hour late.  Boistfort had initially been an hour later but later switched to all schools closed.   See a list of all the affected school districts here.

According to Live 95 radio in Centralia, outages were confirmed in Centralia, Chehalis, Napavine, Winlock, Onalaska and Morton.
