NORTH BEND, Wash. — Westbound I-90 was closed in North Bend after a crash involving a semi truck that then caught fire.
It happened just east of SR 202 shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Eastside Fire & Rescue said a passenger in the semi was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Washington State Patrol said the truck was carrying rolls of carpet, which firefighters had to pull off the truck to make sure the fire was out.
At 9:35 a.m., troopers said drivers should expect a lengthy closure.
As of 11:30 a.m., the left lane was open to traffic.
Washington State Department of Transportation said drivers on I-90 can take exit 31 to SR 202 to get to Snoqualmie Parkway or Preston-Fall City Road, which will eventually lead drivers back to I-90 after the crash scene.
All lanes were later reopened.
