SEATTLE — Seattle is reaching a milestone in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic as another vaccination site in the city closes.
The West Seattle Community Vaccination Hub is closing at the end of Wednesday. The Lumen Field site is following shortly after and closing on June 12. The Rainier Beach site is closing June 23.
This comes as the city changes it vaccination approach, instead focusing on targeted clinics and mobile vaccine sites run by the Seattle Fire Department.
The SODO vaccine and testing site is the only permanent location staying and will remain open through the summer.
Mayor Durkan announced the closures at the end of May as Seattle started reaching its vaccination goals.
