Ravensdale native and singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile was nominated for six Grammys this year for her current album, "By the Way, I Forgive You." Before the television ceremony started, Carlile and her longtime bandmates had already three of the six nominations.
In 2006, Carlile interviewed with KIRO 7 reporter Alison Grande during her tour of "The Story."
"I'm really privileged that I'm in a position where I can speak to young kids who, know what I mean, who think picking up the guitar or learning to play the piano to write songs, it seems like such a big task, but it really isn't a big task and it's definitely something everyone should do," Carlile said in her 2006 KIRO 7 interview.
