KENT, Wash. — Washington State Patrol Troopers attended the graduation of James Eric Saunders Jr. at Kentridge High School on Saturday.
James Saunders Jr.'s father, Trooper James E. Saunders Sr., was killed in the line of duty on Oct. 7, 1999 during a traffic stop in Pasco while James' mother, Billie, was pregnant with him.
Kentridge High School is about 20 miles southeast of Seattle in Kent, Washington.
Trooper Rick Johnson sent out a congratulatory message to James on Twitter on Saturday:
