USPS to temporarily remove some collection boxes ahead of possible civil events

The United States Postal Service announced that it will temporarily remove some collection boxes and close some offices early for security reasons ahead of possible upcoming civil events.

USPS has listed which blue collection boxes will be temporarily removed.

On Friday, the list showed one Washington location, 415 12th Avenue Southwest in Olympia.

“These are temporary measures to protect postal property, employees and the public,” officials said.
