Two shot in Everett home invasion

EVERETT, Wash. — Everett police said two men were shot during a home invasion Wednesday night.

Police received calls about shots fired in the area of Columbia Avenue and Washington Avenue just after 9 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a woman who told police her boyfriend had been shot at a home in the 2000 block of Columbia Avenue.

Police said several men, at least one of them with a gun, entered the home and an altercation led to gunshots being fired. Two men were hit by the gunfire. One was hit in the shoulder and the other was hit in the leg. They were taken to Providence Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A K-9 unit searched for the suspects but no one was found.

Everett Police Department Major Crimes detectives are working on the case. Police do not yet know the motive of the home invasion.
