EVERETT, Wash. — Two incidents on westbound I-90 into Seattle caused a miles-long backup Tuesday morning.
Three lanes of westbound I-90 were blocked just before the ramp to northbound I-5 due to an earlier car fire.
In addition, there was a crash on westbound I-90 at the west portal of the Mount Baker Tunnel.
Traffic was backed up four miles.
The HOV lane was opened to everyone on the floating bridge to help clear the congestion.
At 9:08 a.m., WSDOT tweeted that both incidents had been moved to the right shoulder.
Two things going on westbound I-90 in #Seattle that'll slow things down a bit if you're headed into the city.

We've got a car fire on westbound I-90 just before the ramp to northbound I-5. The ramp is still open, however two right lanes of I-90 are blocked.
