TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma firefighters battled a fire outside a tire shop on Pearl Street Monday morning.
Crews called to the 1000 block of North Pearl Street found tires stored outside the shop burning.
Because the flames were threatening the building, additional units were requested to fight the fire. A ladder crew was sent to check the roof for flames and another crew looked for flames inside the shop. While there was smoke inside the shop, there was no fire inside or on the roof.
The fire has since been put out. No one was hurt.
A fire inspector is investigating.
