Thurston County deputies search for missing man

THURSTON COUNTY — Deputies with the Thurston County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help in finding a missing man.

Officials said William "Willy" Mull, 69, was last seen Friday when he walked away from an improvised campsite along the Nisqually River.

Deputies said the campsite was between Nisqually State Park and Piessner Road SE.

"Willy had been floating the river with family and camping along the way when he wandered off," a spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook.

Deputies describe Mull as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. Officials said Mull has Alzheimer's disease.

Anyone with information on Mull's location is asked to contact Detective H. Reynolds at 360-786-5517 or 360-480-2836 and reference case 19-4517.
