NORTH BEND, Wash. — Approximately half of the city of North Bend and some areas south of the city limits lost power Wednesday evening, according to a post from the city’s Facebook page.
City officials said approximately 5,000 people are without power.
There was a downed tree and an electrical fire on Thrasher Avenue near North Bend Way, officials said.
Officials said Eastside fire crews responded to the fire.
No injuries have been reported related to the fire.
According to Puget Sound Energy’s outage map, 1437 customers were impacted about 9:25 p.m., but that number has gone down to 593 after 10 p.m.
The utility estimated power could be restored around 1:00 a.m. Thursday.
