Burglar points gun at homeowner in home invasion

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A Bellevue woman had two armed suspects point guns at her when she interrupted a burglary inside her home, according to the Bellevue Police Department. The suspects returned within 24 hours to steal the same victim’s car after finding the keys in her purse.

The burglary occurred on January 20 in a quiet neighborhood near 120th Ave South East. A neighbor who did not want to be identified told KIRO 7 the victim came running to his home in the afternoon.

The victim said the suspects had their faces covered.

“All she could see were their eyes and they pointed a gun at her and told her to get out,” he says, “and she did the right thing, turned and ran.”

When he answered the door, he saw a white Honda civic speed away. Detectives with the Bellevue Police Department believe that is the suspect’s vehicle. The same car was spotted by the neighborhood the next day. Investigators believe the suspects drove back, ditched their car, and stole the victim’s vehicle.

The stolen car was then involved in a hit and run in SeaTac later that day, according to detectives.
