Thank you for supporting the KIRO 7 Cares Toy Drive & Holiday Block Party

Over the past several weeks, KIRO 7 has teamed with Albert Lee Appliance, community partners, and viewers to help families in need this holiday season by hosting toy donation drives across Western Washington to benefit Toys for Toys.

The effort culminated Friday with the KIRO 7 Cares Toy Drive & Holiday Block Party, which generated an additional two moving vans of toy donations plus $27,000 in cash donations. See photos from the event here.

It was a fun and festive day, highlighted by music provided MOViN 92.5, five food trucks serving delicious lunch bites, a photo booth with Santa and Mrs. Claus and special guests including Blitz and the Seahawks Dancers.

In addition to the festivities at the studio, KIRO 7 also supported events in Snohomish and Pierce Counties that generated thousands more toy donations for members of our community in need.

If you weren’t able to join us at KIRO 7 on Friday, there’s still time to support the campaign. You can visit any Seattle Fire Department location to donate through December 13th or visit this list of additional events and activities across the region.

Our sincere thanks to Albert Lee Appliance, All City Fence, Dubin Law, Ford/Hyundai of Kirkland, MOViN 92.5, the Seattle Seahawks, the Arthritis Association, Pape Machinery, Work of Honor, the Seattle Men’s Chorus and the Washington State Ferry System -- but most importantly, thank to our incredibly generous viewers who took the time to bring a donation and make it a happy holiday season for children and families in need in our community.
