SEATTLE — An investigation is underway after a 15-year-old boy was shot Friday night in Seattle, police said.
Officers were called to South Charles Street and Hiawatha Place South in the Atlantic neighborhood for a reported shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a teen with gunshot wounds in his legs.
Medics took the teen to Harborview Medical Center. He was reportedly in stable condition.
Officers recovered multiple shell casings at the scene.
According to investigators, witnesses said there was a disturbance in and around a white Chevy sedan parked in an intersection. During the disturbance, several shots were fired. The car was also struck and its rear window shattered.
It is not yet known what led to the shooting or if a suspect has been taken into custody.
The investigation remains ongoing.
