Tacoma woman jailed for beating man with bat, police say

TACOMA, Wash. — A woman is in jail for beating a man with a bat, Tacoma police said.

Police were called to a home on Yakima Avenue near Lincoln Park for a report of a domestic dispute at 5:40 p.m. Monday.

Police arrived to find a 34-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital.

Tacoma police said the woman was booked into jail for investigation of first-degree assault, domestic violence.

The woman’s relationship to the victim is not known.
