Tacoma police arrest second suspect in connection to November 2022 murder

TACOMA, Wash. — The Tacoma Police Department announced Thursday that it arrested a second suspect in connection to a November 2022 robbery and homicide.

According to police, a 23-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday and booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, second-degree assault, and first-degree robbery.

Police were called to a shooting in the 2400 block of East M Street just after 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 21, 2022. Tacoma Fire Department personnel pronounced a 39-year-old man dead on the scene.

The first suspect in the case was arrested in Spokane in December 2022 by the Spokane Police Department. The 25-year-old man was transferred to the Pierce County Jail and booked on suspicion of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police said no other suspects are believed to be on the run in this case.
