Suspected stolen vehicle, firearms and more seized in arrest of Port Angeles man

CLALLAM COUNTY, Wash. — A 31-year-old man was arrested Friday morning during a search at his home in Port Angeles for stolen property, detectives said.

Officials with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said a search warrant was served at 7:30 a.m. at a home on Lake Aldwell Road.

Law enforcement said they obtained confidential information about Justin Bryles, who deputies say is a convicted felon, access to firearms.

In a search of Bryles’s home and outbuildings, detectives seized numerous items suspected to be stolen, including a Subaru Outback, two Kawasaki quads, a drift boat, a utility trailer, chainsaws and other tools, investigators said.

Also seized were eight firearms, which included two handguns, four shotguns and two rifles. Officials said one of the handguns was stolen from Oregon.

Detectives found heroin and other drug paraphernalia at the man’s home, officials said.

Bryles was taken into custody and booked into the Clallam County Jail for investigation of first-degree possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen firearm, three counts of Possession of a stolen vehicle, eight counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree burglary, first-degree malicious mischief and second-degree theft.

A 28-year-old man with a Washington State Department of Corrections secretary’s warrant was also arrested, according to officials.

The investigation remains ongoing.
