ABERDEEN, Wash. — A 59-year-old driver suspected of driving under the influence took out a power pole and crashed into a home Saturday in Aberdeen, police say.
Officers were called about 6:03 a.m. to a report of a vehicle that drove into a house in the 500 block of North Alder Street.
Aberdeen police said the Hoquiam resident lost control for her Isuzu Trooper and left the road, shearing off a city street light, continuing through a yard, striking a home.
People were inside the home at the time, but no was injured, police said.
The driver appeared to suffer minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officials said based on the driver’s behavior, a warrant was served at the hospital for the driver’s blood and the person was issued a citation for a DUI.
