SEATTLE — A 20-year-old suspect was arrested in the stabbing of a 21-year-old man in North Seattle Tuesday night, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Police said officers responded to reports of a disturbance in front of a residence in the 9700 block of Densmore Avenue North around 9:50 p.m.
"As officers were responding, the call was updated to indicate that a male had been stabbed. Officers arrived, along with Seattle Fire, and located the 21-year-old victim, who had been stabbed in the chest," Seattle Police said in a blotter post.
The victim was treated by Seattle Fire personnel at the scene and was later transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Police said witnesses at the scene gave a suspect name and description, and officers found the suspect several blocks away at a business.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of felony assault, police said.
Detectives with the department are conducting a follow-up investigation.
