Super cold treatment could help aches, pains or winter blues

This super ‘cool’ and quick treatment could remedy your aches, pains, or winter blues.

Cryotherapy isn’t new in the world of health and wellness, but it is cool. Literally and figuratively.

Whole body cryotherapy involves stepping into a pre-cooled capsule set at -200 degrees fahrenheit for about 2 to 3 minutes.

The point of whole body cryotherapy is to reduce inflammation and reduce pain and swelling in your body. Nicolle Gulick, co-owner of Glacial Cryotherapy in Lake Forest Park told KIRO 7 that despite the extreme cold, “by the time you realize you don’t want to be in there anymore, you’re getting out.”

This treatment has been used by celebrities and athletes for years, and thanks to businesses like Glacial Cryotherapy, it’s not only more accessible but more affordable for everyday people to enjoy.

Some of their cryo treatments include but are not limited to whole body cryotherapy, localized cryotherapy, and cryo-facials. While there is no recommended number of treatments you should be doing, but Gulick and her business partner say the more consistent you are, the more consistent your results will be. Most of their services are priced just under $40.

Cryotherapy has not been approved by the FDA for medical treatments. You should always consult with a medical professional before engaging in any medical-related treatments.
