Stolen car driving wrong way in Kitsap County ends in serious injury collision

A stolen car being driven in the wrong direction in Kitsap County struck another car, seriously injuring someone, according to the Washington State Patrol.

At about 1:39 p.m. Wednesday, troopers responded to a report of a collision on westbound State Route 16 near State Route 302, by the construction zone.

Photos from the scene showed one car upside down on the side of the road and another with severe front-end damage.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the suspected driver of the stolen car fled on foot and has not been found.

Law enforcement is containing the area and using K9 units to track the driver.
