Stocker Farms Country Market damaged by fire

SNOHOMISH, Wash. — The Stocker Farms Country Market in Snohomish was damaged in a fire late Tuesday night.

Snohomish firefighters were called to the market in the 10600 block of Airport Road off Highway 9 around 10 p.m.

By the time firefighters arrived, flames had engulfed a long building attached to the market. That building was destroyed. There was also damage to the back side of the main building.

The fire was mostly out by 11 p.m. but firefighters were still putting out hotspots early Wednesday morning.

The market had been closed since the end of last season. Stocker Farms had decided not to reopen this year, instead concentrating on the Big Red Barn location across Highway 9 and at Mountainview Blueberry Farm a few miles south.
