Crashes and spinouts caused I-90 to close Wednesday evening from North Bend to Ellensburg.
The closure happened before 7:30 p.m. but Washington State of Department Transportation crews and law enforcement were able to get both directions of the road back about 11 p.m.
Officials said there were crashes eastbound and westbound near Easton Hill.
Drivers who were at the summit were able to go west, back toward Seattle but could not travel east as most of the crashes were at Easton Hill.
I-90 is open in both directions.
