"I think it's a great team, especially with one of our girls, Rapinoe who plays here in Seattle and Alex Morgan. I think its a great team, a mix of veteran players and young players," said local fan Julian Gonzalez.

There wasn't a whole lot of breath holding. The U.S. women held control for nearly the entire game.

"All across Seattle you can find bars like this one full of soccer fans. This isn't the only one cheering on the women's team."

When all was said and done, the U.S. women walked away with the win, leaving these fans happy and already looking forward to the next season, and World Cup. With this team together, they could make even more history.

"You are looking at some of the best athletes in the world - in the world," Levesque said.
