Snow possible for some parts of Western Washington Friday morning

The best chance for a trace to 1-2 inches of lowland snow will be north of Everett where temperatures are cold enough for snow.

Farther south, areas above 500 feet will be more favored for a trace to 1 inch of snow.

Closer to sea level and closer to Puget Sound, temperatures may well stay warm enough for just rain or a rain/snow mix into the morning.

By about 7 a.m., precipitation -- mainly in the form of rain below 500 feet -- moves south into Pierce and Thurston counties.
