Snow creates challenges for local businesses

As the snow keeps falling, local businesses are struggling to adapt. Many customers are staying home and owners are crossing their fingers when it comes to deliveries.

At the Woodblock Restaurant in Redmond, owner Tony Scott is playing it one hour at a time. He's watching the weather and balancing the demands of customers and needs of his employees to get to work and get home. On Monday at lunchtime, he was open and pleased to see customers coming in search of a warm meal. KIRO 7 talked to some customers who walked to the restaurant to avoid driving in the new snow. When it comes to dinner on Monday at the Woodblock, it depends on how much snow falls in the meantime.

In Woodinville, a team of florists at Woodinville Florist are working to take and fill orders for Valentine's Day. With snow piling up on roads, they can't guarantee an exact delivery time. They hope more people will place orders and be patient for the deliveries. Owner Oriana Hammerstrom was waiting for a very special delivery on Monday. Just after noon, a truck full of roses to fill her Valentine orders arrived.
