Smash-and-grab burglars steal $20,000 worth of eyeglass frames

A pair of smash-and-grab burglars hit a Pearl Eye Care Center in Tacoma on Sunday, Jan. 12.

TACOMA, Wash. — A pair of smash-and-grab burglars hit a Pearl Eye Care Center in the South Sound.

The break-in happened at 3:15 a.m. Sunday in Tacoma.

Surveillance video showed the men shattering the glass door and then climbing inside.

The men then tore an entire frame board off the wall and stole dozens of high-end frames.

“Over $20,000 retail, easy. It seems like they've done this before and knew exactly what they were going after,” said owner Michael Noble.

Though the burglars were in and out of the store in just 56 seconds, one of the surveillance cameras captured a good image of one man’s face.

Anyone who recognizes the men or knows anything about the burglary is asked to call the Tacoma Police Department.
