SKAGIT VALLEY, Wash. — The annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the latest event to be postponed after Gov. Inslee’s stay-at-home mandate.
Earlier in the month, some of the farms had expressed hope that the festival would be able to continue, but with the new ban on all public gatherings, the tulip fields and operations have been closed to the public.

The cancellation will result in a significant economic blow to the Skagit Valley area.
Some tulip fields, including Tulip Town and Roozengaarde Gardens, are offering online tulip orders to help make up for some of the lost revenue.
