TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma police are investigating after a man was shot Wednesday evening.
Police said officers were called about 4 p.m. to the 2500 block of South G Street, where a man in a truck and a man on the sidewalk were arguing.
Witnesses told police they heard lots of yelling and then gunfire, officials said.
Police said the man in the truck shot the man on the sidewalk as the man on the sidewalk came toward the man in the truck. The man in the truck then fled.
The victim was taken to a local hospital by friends in his own car and has non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police described the shooter as 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a light complexion.
Officials did not say what led to the argument and shooting.
