SEATTLE — Detectives are investigating after a man died Thursday evening in a drive-by shooting in Renton, police said.
According to investigators, Renton police were notified by Seattle police of a man dead in the back seat of a stolen car before 9 p.m.
Police said a driver reported multiple shots were fired into his car in Renton near the 300 block of Rainier Avenue South.
According to investigators, the man drove to Seattle after the shooting and saw his passenger was dead in the back seat of his car. He called 911, and Seattle police responded to the 3900 block of South Othello Street.
The driver could not provide any information on the shooter.
Police impounded the vehicle for evidence, as well as several casings at the Rainier Avenue South location.
The man who died has not been identified.
