Puyallup police are investigating after one person was injured in a shooting Tuesday evening.

At about 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a fight at the downtown Puyallup McDonald’s at 304 Second Street Northeast.

While officers were on their way, there were reports of shots fired.

Investigators said before the shooting, a man arrived at the location to confront a person who allegedly assaulted a woman.

Police said the man rammed his car into another car, and one of the cars crashed into the McDonald’s building. The man got out of his car and assaulted other people with a crowbar, investigators said.

According to investigators, a person inside one of the cars got out and started firing shots.

One person was hit and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Another person was taken to the hospital after her was injured by the crowbar.

Police are still looking for the suspect that rammed the car initially. He abandoned his car at the scene and ran away.

“Multiple officers and deputies from surrounding jurisdictions assisted in the scene containment, detention of involved parties and to search for the single outstanding 30-year-old male. Officers have this person identified,” police said in a news release.
