Shooting at Southcenter Mall; mall on lockdown

A shooting at Southcenter Mall was reported shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday. One shot was fired and there are no known victims.

Elgin Bennet, the manager at Chipotle, took photographs of the scene and said the incident appeared to involve teenagers. The shooting took place in the food court area.

Tukwila police said that the stores in the mall are on lockdown. They believe everyone involved has fled, but are conducting a sweep of the mall.

On Sunday, there was no new information available regarding the shooting and police said they were continuing to investigate the incident.

Police are working with the mall's management and security teams. Off-duty officers are also at the mall.
