SEATTLE — The Seattle Storm announced today the launch of their new brand identity and logo. The design reflects the storied history of the franchise, its championship culture and connection of the city of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.
The new logo maintains the iconic Space Needle with an added lightning bolt that evokes the intensity, power and purpose of the Storm team, on and off the court.
The primary colors: Lightning Yellow, Thunder Green and Bolt Green. These not only maintain the legacy of the original Storm brand, they also reinforce a connection to the logo of the SuperSonics.
To celebrate the launch of the new logo, Storm guards Sue Bird and Jordin Canada will raise a flag with the new design atop the Space Needle on March 3 at 2 p.m.
