SEATTLE — Officers with the Seattle Police Department’s South Precinct arrested a 15-year-old, and are searching for at least two additional suspects after a man was beaten and robbed in the Dunlap neighborhood Saturday night.
Police said a 21-year-old man called 911 around 11:30 p.m. to report he had been robbed of his phone and car keys by a group of teenagers in the 8800 block of Renton Avenue South.
"Officers arrived and spotted the group of teens running through a nearby alley. One of the suspects threw the victim's keys on top of a roof just before he was taken into custody by police," Seattle police said in a blotter post.
According to police, the victim said the suspects punched and kicked him before taking his keys and phone.
The victim told police the suspects returned minutes later and pressed the button on the man’s key fob to sound the car alarm just before police arrived.
