Authorities determine human remains belong to missing Snohomish woman

SNOHOMISH, Wash. — Searchers with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office found human remains in a “secluded wooded area” near the city of Snohomish on Saturday morning during a planned search for Kenna Harris, a Snohomish woman who has been missing since March, officials said.

Law enforcement officially confirmed the remains were Harris on Oct. 13. The cause and manner of death are still undetermined.

Officials said previous ground searches for Harris were not a part of the area where the remains were found.

The area where the remains were found is being processed by detectives.

KIRO found out that Harris suffered from a traumatic brain injury a few years ago.

Harris' family told KIRO 7 she is susceptible to trafficking and people taking advantage of her.

Harris was last seen on March 31, at a Subway in Snohomish. She took a bus to get there and never returned, deputies said.
