CENTRALIA, Wash. — A 5-year-old, who was allegedly taken by her biological mother who did not have legal guardianship of her, has been found.
Centralia police said Marigny-Gauge Leveau and her mother, Mahalia Laveau, were found in the Seattle area.
There is no evidence to show the 5-year-old was harmed while she was missing, police said.
Mahalia Laveau reportedly has a history of child abandonment and suffers from several diagnosed mental illnesses, police said.
According to deputies, the court deemed Mahalia Laveau unfit to care for her daughter.
