Search, arrests yield large amount of heroin, cocaine and stacks of cash

SEATTLE — Officers seized stacks of cash and large amounts of cocaine and heroin from a SeaTac hotel room Friday and arrested two men believed to have been dealing drugs out of their cars in Seattle's Chinatown-International District.

Seattle police detectives say the men, who were staying at a hotel in SeaTac, would drive to Seattle’s International District where they would sell and trade heroin and crack out of their cars.

One suspect arrested at a Tukwila casino was in possession of five grams of methamphetamine, police said.

The second man was arrested on Beacon Hill. Officers recovered 85 grams of heroin, 28 grams of methamphetamine and 47 grams of crack cocaine.

Officers serving a warrant on the men’s SeaTac hotel room seized 467 grams of powder cocaine, 58 grams of heroin, 1,018 grams of cocaine -- which was being processed into rock cocaine -- and 3.3 grams of methamphetamine. Officers also found $10,000 in cash.

Detectives estimate the street value for the drugs to be more than $100,000.

The men, both 50 years old, were booked into King County Jail for investigation of possession of narcotics with the intent to deliver.

Police say the men are also believed to be connected to organized retail theft and other crimes.
