RENTON, Wash. — Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been added to the NFC’s Pro Bowl roster – replacing Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers is unable to compete due to injury and Wilson was originally named a Pro Bowl alternate.
Wilson joins middle linebacker Bobby Wagner and punter Michael Dickson as the third Seahawks player named to this year's Pro Bowl.
Wilson finished the season with a 35 touchdowns, only seven interceptions and a career-best 110.9 quarterback rating.
The Seahawks finished the 2018 NFL season with a 10-6 record – before losing 24-22 to the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
The 2019 Pro Bowl will be played on Jan. 27 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
Congratulations to @Seahawks QB @DangeRussWilson on being named to the 2019 Pro Bowl! #GoHawkshttps://t.co/eOOnZcnS99
