MUKIlTEO, Wash. —
Rescue swimmers are searching for a man who went underwater Wednesday afternoon after his inflatable boat deflated near the Boeing dock in Mukilteo.
An official with Mukilteo Fire said the man tried to swim to shore when his boat started to deflate, but witnesses describe seeing him go under and never resurface.
Rescuers from multiple agencies went searching for the man who’s been in the water since 3 p.m.
Officials said windy conditions may have also contributed to the incident.
The search and rescue effort also delayed the ferry MV Tokitae.
